OUR INTRODUCTION
Mission & Vision
Vision – Inhana envisions a possibility of quality- clean food for every plate and sustainable livelihood irrespective of the farmers’ class. Equipped with a Nature Harnessed Farming Pathway i.e. Inhana Rational Farming (IRF) Technology and with the Scientific Tools for Sustainable Agriculture’; Inhana welcomes agriculturists for ecologically and economically sustainable crop production ventures; to make the vision a reality.
Mission – India’s Traditional Wisdom stressed that ‘Nature is not only Holistic, it is WHOLISTIC. . . . Once broken down, nature cannot be returned to its original state. . . . Union is always superior to the division . . . . the undifferentiated always superior to the differentiated’. Inhana was founded to act as a knowledge repository for organic farming; and aims to reintroduce India’s rich agricultural heritage in it’s true scientific avtar before the entire agricultural world. Inhana’s mission is to bring scientific but adoptable pathways for the masses in order to enable ecologically and economically sustainable production of all types of crops, in all agro-ecological regions and irrespective of the climate change impacts.

Man Behind The Mission
In the year 1998, P. Das Biswas left his pharmaceutical world to join a group of people searching the ultimate truth from the realm of ‘Indian Vedas’. Exposure to this vast world of ancient ‘Indian Philosophy’ revealed the True Science of ‘Nature’, where each and every component is designed to perform in an individual, interrelated and integrated manner for the benefit of one and all; which is beyond the interpretation of compartmental knowledge.
He tried to draw the essence of ‘Ancient Indian Philosophy’ underlying the age old practice of harnessing ‘Mother Earth’ for producing food. The quest for the origin led to the understanding of the ‘Element Energy Activation (E.E.A) Principle’; and the concept of Energy Assimilation, Management & Transformation by Plants. He laid the foundation of INHANA, the name being derived from the concept ‘IN HARMONY WITH NATURE’. He started out with finding effective solutions and organic formulations for selected unresolved problems of agriculture like prophylactic disease management, efficient potash uptake etc.
OUR ROAD TO SUCCESS
Journey
The journey began with Tea, understanding that TEA is the most difficult crop for organic conversion due to several limitations. Eventually over the next few years a ‘Complete Organic Package of Practice’ namely Inhana Rational Farming Technology (IRF) was developed, which emphasized that organic agriculture is the most Scientific Practice, and that only Ecological Sustainability can ensure Economic sustainability. The initiative in Tea with only 60 hectare area (10% of total garden) in West Jalinga T.E. demonstrated highly positive results so that the entire 650 ha plantation was put under IRF Technology in the very next year.
Inception of IORF: Providing ONLY Pathway For Plant Health Management
Development of Inhana Rational Farming (IRF) Technology – perhaps the only available pathway for comprehensive Plant Health Management through which it ensures a smooth transition of agriculture (or food production system) from being GHG Emitter to GHG Omitter.
Development of The 1ST Carbon-Neutral Tea Estate
Development of the 1st Carbon-Neutral Tea Estate in the history of Indian Tea Industry (the Paris Climate Accords were enacted in 2015!).
A Path-Breaking Project With FAO
IRF Technology was adjudged the best “Organic Package of Practice” under the Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN – Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) of FAO – Tea Board of India (TBI) Project in all three categories i.e. Yield Performance, Soil Development and Economics; in 2012.
