Better Agriculture for Better Future
Agriculture can be truly sustainable only if it is able to deliver Economic Sustainability to the farmers and the consumers alike – to put in simple words
- For the Farmers: There is no increase in their cost of production, simultaneously with no reduction in crop yield.
- For the Consumers: There is no extra pinch to their pockets, i.e. there is no premium pricing for such produce.
However; neither the commonly practised chemical-intensive agriculture (which contributes 14.8% of all global GHG emissions and whose produce contain residual traces of carcinogenic & other harmful chemicals), nor the conventional organic agriculture (where there is a drastic reduction in crop-yield, that goes on result in premium pricing of the produce making them unaffordable to the common populace of our country) can deliver this economic sustainability at both the ends of the agricultural value chain! It is only the proprietary Inhana Rational Farming (IRF) Technology of IORF that has been able to ensure this seemingly unachievable feat!”

Our Services Arena
Domain of Expertise in the arena of Sustainable Agriculture

Novcom Composting
Novcom Composting Technology can be a Game Changer w.r.t. our Nations’ Climate Commitment especially in respect of Methane (CH4) Mitigation in Agriculture. This Speediest (21 days) Biodegradation Process can transform any type of waste, hard to biodegrade materials like coir pith, and toxic Landfill/ MSW into Safe and Effective Soil Amendment. The post soil application effectiveness is driven by the huge embodiment of self- generated, and highly diversified microflora (in the order of 1016 c.f.u.) in Novcom Compost.

Soil Health Management
Inhana Soil Health Management (ISHM) is a comprehensive program encompassing Effective Resource Management and Soil Resource Recycling to enable an Economically Viable and Easily Adoptable Pathway for the farmers especially the Small and Marginal Land Holders towards time bound RESTORATION of ‘SOIL BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTIVITY’. Effective resource management is primarily attended through Novcom Composting Technology and the end product NOVCOM COMPOST forms the key ingredient for soil resource recycling.

Plant Health Management
The UN celebrated 2020, as the International Year of ‘PLANT HEALTH’ to raise global awareness regarding this immensely neglected aspect in Agriculture, which can directly impact five crucial SDG’s; SDG-1, SDG-2, SDG-8, SDG-13 and SDG-15. INHANA PLANT HEALTH MANAGEMENT (IPHM) driven by Inhana ‘ENERGY’ Solutions is a FIRST OF A KIND PROGRAM in terms of Concept Innovativeness, Scientific Approach and Successful Demonstration of Healthy Plant Development towards the objective of Climate Resilient crop production.

Climate Change
Climate Positive Agriculture means a cultivation system that can enable Safe and Sustainable crop production while mitigating the interlinked Challenges of Food Security and Climate Change. Clean Food ‘NET ZERO’ (CFNZ) Model is the much awaited Solution for Climate Positive Agriculture – a Single Intervention that delivers Synchronous Impact Areas w.r.t. Seven Critical SDG’s- SDG1, SDG2, SDG3, SDG11, SDG12, SDG13 and SDG 15; but most importantly Demonstrates HIGHEST GHG ABATEMENT; especially Methane (CH4) Mitigation in Agriculture.
OUR PROJECT
IBM-IORF Sustainability Project
According to FAO, Sustainable Agriculture is the only solution to nourish todays’ 815 million hungry and the additional 2 billion people expected by 2050’. However, by the UN’s own statement ‘It is currently not clear or well defined what constitutes productive and sustainable agricultural practice’. In this background, IORF initiated the Pesticide Free ‘Clean Food Movement’ in 2020, in Nadia District of West Bengal (India), in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Nadia), ICAR; to develop a SAFE & SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE MODEL that is Economically Viable, Ecologically Sustainable and Easily Adoptable especially considering the small and marginal farmers. Looking at the relevance of this initiative w.r.t. SDG-2, SDG-13 & SDG-15, IBM joined in and took up this ‘Clean Food’ project under its Sustainability Program.

IORF – Your Net Zero Enabler
Despite being the most critical sustainability factors for the very existence of mankind on this planet, SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) exhibit the largest Annual Investment Gap (as per the yearly World Investment Reports of UNCTAD) accounting for both government and corporate sectors. Simply because of the lack of tangible pathways!
In another pioneering initiative, IORF offers its clients the most unique GHG emissions offsetting model – Clean Food Net Zero. The coveted pathway to attend SDGs 2 & 13 simultaneously!

Tangible Pathways for SDGs 1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13 and 15 – only through IRF Technology

Inhana Organic Research Foundation (IORF) is a unique not-for-profit, scientific research based organization that is dedicated solely towards creating pathways that deliver truly tangible sustainability for the marginal and resource-poor farmers of our society.
